Alexandra brings more than twenty years of experience representing individuals, insurance carriers, and businesses to her mediation practice. Before joining Alvarez Dispute Resolution, Alexandra was a litigation partner at two of the nation’s largest law firms, Greenberg Traurig, PA and Shook, Hardy & Bacon LLP. As a litigator, she resolved hundreds of cases for her clients, often using mediation to achieve resolution. Throughout her career, Alexandra earned the respect of clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel for employing creative strategies to resolve contentious and sensitive matters. Numerous recognitions and awards from bar organizations and publications reflect her professionalism and standing in the community. Alexandra transitioned her litigation practice to become a full-time neutral after seeing the clear advantage alternative dispute resolution offers those involved in litigation. In addition to her mediation practice, Alexandra is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law, where she teaches complex litigation, including class action and toxic tort litigation. Her expertise in high-stakes, multi-party cases allow her to keenly understand and manage issues in the most complex disputes. Alexandra is fluent in Spanish.
